26 Portman Road, Bryanston
As you wander through Jane’s beautiful, indigenous garden in the heart of Bryanston, you experience a sense of peace and tranquillity created by the canopy of trees which she planted 25 years ago. The many paths leading from the house take one on a journey of discovery to different sections of the garden where a variety of indigenous plants such as plectranthus and aloes cover the banks, and agapanthus bloom.
The swimming pool in front of the house has an artfully created rock embankment over which water trickles and is then recirculated into the pool. This area is flanked by a lovely green lawn with agapanthus bordering it, and open to the sky.
One section of the property is devoted to a hen-coop and vegetable garden, including tall Marog plants! This garden is well worth visiting – just to admire the creativity and ingenuity of its owner – Jane.
Parking is provided outside the entrance to the driveway, so a short walk will take the visitor to the pathways leading to the house.
