This historic home in Parktown built by Herbert Baker was once the home of the Dale Laces and then the home of Sir George Albu.
As one enters there is a small koppie with indigenous plantings. The rest of the garden follows a more traditional style of Baker Italianate gardens modelled on Gertrude Jekyll ideas. At this time of year one looks down from the garden over a sea of mauve jacaranda blossoms. A view not to be missed. The book about Jose Dale Lace: A woman of some Importance by Pam Heller-Stern will also be for sale.
